Needing a bit of fresh inspiration, I visited the Lake District where I stayed in a converted barn at the heart of the Newlands Valley. Each morning, sitting out eating my breakfast, I had the company of tens of swallows swooping to puddles for a drink so I couldn’t hep but be inspired to draw one.
