After longing to get out of my studio to gain some fresh ideas, I headed to the Lake District for a week where on one sunny afternoon I found myself in a wildflower meadow on the north shores of Bassenthwaite lake. Sat in a ring of Oxeye Daisies with butterflies fluttering all around, I happily drew the brightest butterfly I could see.
